Plus, Camphor Laurel is naturally anti-bacterial due to the oils in the timber and has been considered the most effective food preparation surface for reducing microbial growth. Wood cutting boards also protect your knives and won’t dull them like ceramic or glass cutting boards.
We responsibly source locally grown Camphor Laurel slabs and create unique, one-off pieces for our customers. Camphor has a wonderful, ever-changing timber grain characterised by its whorls, contrasting colours and occasional fiddleback patterns. While it is classified as a Hardwood, it is lighter in weight than most - and smells fantastic!
We do not treat the timber with any kind of chemical or stain, they are 100% natural, food safe and eco friendly.
